Whiteside County Senior Center Announces New 2023 Program - Feed Our Seniors.

Whiteside County Senior Center will be serving a FREE community meal for the seniors of Whiteside County once a month for the upcoming year. The first meal will be served on January 27th from noon till 1pm at 1207 W 9th St in Sterling, Il. No reservations needed. No carry outs but leftovers will be available for patrons to share with other seniors that are unable to attend.
This program is made possible by Sterling and Rock Falls Walmart and Farmers National Bank along with a group of volunteers and Sauk Valley Food Bank.

Whiteside County Senior Center Announces Commodities Delivery to satellite locations in Morrison, Erie, Fulton and Prophetstown.

Sterling November 23rd: Whiteside County Senior Center today announced commodity delivery to their satellite locations for seniors and disabled. All income eligible seniors and disabled individuals will be able to stop by one of the satellite locations in December to sign up for this service to begin in January. Income limits apply $1,986 for a household of 1, $2,686 for a household of two, $3,386 for a household of 3 and $4,086 for a household of 4. Satellite locations and hours:
Fulton at City Hall 415 11th Ave from 9am to 1pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month
Morrison at the Odell Public Library 307 S. Madison St from 2 pm to 4pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month
Prophetstown at Riverview Estates 310 Mosher Drive from 8am to Noon on the 4th Tuesday of the month
Erie at Erie Library 802 8 th Ave from 1pm to 3pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
Staff will also be able to assist seniors with Medicare questions, license plate discounts, online applications and other information & referrals.
